Transfer talk: Chelsea yet to agree a deal for Romelu Lukaku

Belgian international is not Stamford Bridge bound yet, meanwhile Sunderland are interested in loaning Craig Bellamy.
Chelsea

Chelsea are yet to agree terms with Anderlecht for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku. The Belgium club are seeking ?15 million (Dh78.6m) for their teenage international, a fee Chelsea are reluctant to meet.

There are also complications over additional payments to Lukaku's family and agents. Lukaku himself is resisting a proposal by Chelsea to place him out on loan this season.

"There is no agreement at the moment," Herman van Holsbeeck, the Anderlect general manager, said following talks in London. "There are on-going negotiations and Chelsea know what we want.

Imagine that, one day, Roman Abramovich is in a good mood and he offers that amount ,then this can be fixed tomorrow. At the moment that is not the case.

However, all three parties know what they want and what we have to do to come to an agreement. And now most of it depends upon Chelsea."

Villarreal

Villarreal have withdrawn Guiseppe Rossi from the market following the ?21m sale of Spain international Santi Cazorla to Malaga.

The subject of substantial offers from Tottenham Hotspur in each of the last two transfer windows, Rossi had agreed personal terms with both Barcelona and Juventus only for the deals to fall through over Villarreal's ?35m valuation of their leading scorer.

With their budget demands met by Cazorla's sale, the Spanish club have informed Rossi that they will no longer consider offers.

Paris St-Germain

Leonardo, the PSG technical director, has placed an approach for AS Roma and Italy striker Marco Borriello ahead of the Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov.

While United have encouraged the interest of the Qatari-owned club, Berbatov himself has yet to be approached by PSG about a move.

Borriello scored 15 Serie A goals on loan for Roma last season ahead of a pre-agreed ?10m full transfer.

Leeds United

Leeds have taken the Senegal left-back Boukary Drame, the former Germany under 21 midfielder Dennis Grote, and the German striker Felix Luz on trial as they attempt fill gaps in their squad.

The Championship side lost out on Keith Andrews and Jonathan Spector last week when Ipswich and Birmingham offered the pair higher wages.

They have also been stymied in an attempt to take Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertand on loan.

Sunderland

Steve Bruce, the Sunderland manager, has reiterated his interest in the Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy. Roberto Mancini, the City manager, has made it clear the Wales international, who spent last term on loan at hometown club Cardiff, is not part of his plans this season.

"I haven't got a wide left player, not a natural one, although we've got people who can play there, so we'll see," Bruce said. "We're all looking at Manchester City because they've got some great players who can't even get in the squad."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa's new signing Charles N'Zogbia has said he will have "no problem" stepping into the shoes of the recently departed wingers Ashley Young and Stewart Downing.

"We've lost two good players and we have to recover what we've lost," he said. "I've been working hard for the last two seasons, and I know I can replace them, no problem, if I'm 100 per cent."
