The biggest entertainer in world cricket today is...

Virender Sehwag missed out on a triple hundred but still has two and a 293 to his name besides five of the top 10 fastest double hundreds.

Virender Sehwag missed out on a rare feat to be the first three-time triple centurion in the history of Test cricket. He is still in the club of two triple hundred scorers along with Don Bradman from yesteryear and his now-retired contemporary Brian Lara. The latter also holds the record for the highest score of 400. But Sehwag scores runs in a manner no one can. The top three scores for India belong to him. Originally known as only the Sachin Tendulkar clone, Sehwag has carved a unique identity of his own. Incidentally, the top 10 fastest double hundreds also has Sehwag written all over the list with his name appearing five times! Tendulkar may be the top batsman in the world as leading run-scorer of all time with four double hundreds in 162 Tests. Sehwag has two triple hundreds and four double tons in 72 Tests, less than half of Tendulkar. Needless to say when he bats like that, India is in a nice position of authority to press for a win like they are against Sri Lanka. So is Sehwag the most entertaining batsman currently? Food for thought.
