Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum to carry UAE flag at Olympics opening ceremony

The skeet shooter - who has represented the UAE at the previous three Olympics - will lead the Emirati athletes during the opening ceremony on July 27.

Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum is to be the UAE's flag-bearer during next week's Olympic Games opening ceremony.

The 35-year-old skeet competitor, who has represented the Emirates in the previous three games, will spearhead the UAE's shooting squad at the London event.

And he will lead out the UAE's 29 athletes at the opening ceremony at the Olympic Stadium on July 27.

The UAE flag will be officially raised at the Olympic Village this Saturday, with the nation's ambassador Abdul Rahman Al Mutawai raising the flag on behalf of the Emirates delegation.
