Schoolboy appointed Ta'awun club president

The Ta'awun club has appointed what is believed to be the youngest sports club president in the world in a 13-year-old.

The Ta'awun club has appointed what is believed to be the youngest sports club president in the world in 13-year-old Sheikh Saqr bin Soud bin Saqr Al Qasemy. He has been appointed by his father, Sheikh Saqr Mohammed Al Qasemy, a member of the High Council and ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and will be president for four years, overseeing the administration of the club including all activities and work, while still attending the English Choiefat School. Sheikh Saqr Jnr's brother, Khaled bin Soud, 15, is head of the Masafi club.
