Salem Al Orafi has warned Al Jazira that there will be no let up from his Baniyas players, despite Monday's Pro League game coming in the middle of their Gulf Clubs Championship semi-final.

Baniyas drew their first game with Qatari side Al Khor 1-1 on Friday, and after Monday's game with Jazira, will only have a few days to recover before Friday's second leg at home to Al Khor.

Victory over Jazira would guarantee third place in the league for Baniyas, and Al Orafi said that was incentive enough to raise their game.

The coach said: "It is tough because we have to play three important games in one week. The players are a bit tired but fully motivated, because the results of the next two games are critical for us to win a trophy and for a potential berth in the Asian Champions League."

Luis Milla, the Jazira coach, was looking at both the positives and negatives of Baniyas' situation.

"We can see it in two ways," the Spaniard said. "It is a team that comes after a good result in a final and they are also fighting for the third spot in the league. These are the positives for them.

"On the other hand, they will have just two or three days to prepare against us. The players may be a bit exhausted after a hard game and the travel."
