Al Dhafra recovered from a goal down to defeat visiting Al Wasl, and Al Ahli blank Kalba at home.
Pro League round-up: Wasl throw away lead; Al Ahli leave Kalba blank
Al Dhafra 2 Al Wasl 1
Al Dhafra Abdulsalam Jumaa 43', Diop 78'
Al Wasl Alfaro 34'
Eid Baroot, the Al Wasl manager, watched his side throw away a lead in his second game in charge. A superb individual goal from Emiliano Alfaro, the Uruguayan striker, opened the scoring, but Abdulsalam Jumaa, above, followed a clever shimmy with a vicious finish that made it 1-1 at the break. Makhete Diop struck 12 minutes from time to seal the three points for the home team.
Ahli Grafite (pen) 15', Khalil 33', Al Beloshi 76'
Quique Sanchez Flores's Al Ahli side made up for their disappointing defeat to Al Shabab last week with a comfortable win over bottom club Kalba. The Dubai side's strike duo of Grafite, the Brazilian forward, and Ahmed Khalil, the UAE international, were the stars. Khalil won an early penalty, which Grafite converted, before the Emirati slotted home to make it 2-0 just after the half-hour mark. Grafite's dribble then set up Adnan Al Beloshi to tap in a third.
