Pro League round-up: Dubai lose again while Al Wahda win at Dibba

Etisalat Cup finalists Ajman extended Dubai's miserable run of defeats with a 2-1 victory, while a Mahmoud Khamis penalty gifted Al Wahda all three points against Dibba Al Fujairah.

Ajman Sy 19', Kabi 71' Dubai Magrao 76'

Dubai's losing streak continued last night when Rene Marsiglia's men went down 2-1 at Ajman.

Founeke Sy opened the scores for the hosts in the 21st minute and then helped Boris Kabi make it 2-0 in the 71st minute, showing some fancy footwork at the edge of the box before chipping the ball for his captain to head home.

Seven minutes later, the Brazilian Magrao got one back for Dubai, who suffered their fifth consecutive defeat in the league.

Dibba 0 Al Wahda 1

Al Wahda Khamis 25' (pen)

Mahmoud Khamis's first-half strike was enough for Al Wahda to down relegation-threatened Dibba Al Fujairah and return home with three points.

Missing key players such as Hamdan Al Kamali and Ismail Matar, through suspension, Wahda were given a tense examination by the hosts but managed to protect their lead.

The victory allowed Wahda (31 points) to move up to sixth in the standings, while Dibba remain on 11 points, with only Kalba (10) below them.
