Ajman moved clear of the drop zone with a 3-1 home win over Al Shaab.

The visitors went ahead in the 13th minute when Michael N'dri tapped in a fumble from Yousuf Abdulrahman, the Ajman goalkeeper.

Salem Obaid headed the equaliser on the half-hour before Founeke Sy and Boris Kabi sealed the victory with second-half goals for Ajman's second win in eight games.

The win took their tally to eight, two more than Shaab.

Red card: Ghuloom (Baniyas)

Al Ahli had to settle for a share of the points with Baniyas after a goal claim in injury time was ruled out.

A corner from Luis Jimenez deflected off a Baniyas defender, hit a post and appeared to have crossed the line before it was cleared by Mohsin Al Hashmi, who took his place in goal after the dismissal of Mohammed Ghuloom in the 37th minute.

Jozef Chovanec, the Baniyas coach, clenched his fists and rejoiced at the final whistle.
