Pro League goals are down since last year

With almost three-quarters of the season complete, scoring is down more than half a goal a game from last season.

With almost three-quarters of the season complete, scoring is down more than half a goal a game from last season. Goals are being scored at 3.23 per game, compared to 3.78 last term. Sharjah play in the lowest-scoring games, an average of 2.63 goals per game, and Kalba are highest, with 4.13 goals.

Kasheif the safest hands in the league

Majed Naser of Al Wasl and Jamal al Hammadi of Dubai are the only goalkeepers to appear in every game this season for their sides. Ali Kasheif has missed only one game for Al Jazira, and he leads the league in clean sheets with seven, and with the lowest goals conceded average, at 0.73 per match.

Kabi goals send Dhafra through

Al Dhafra won Group B of the Gulf Club Championship Cup and will go through to the quarter-finals of the 12-team competition. Boris Kabi scored twice for Dhafra in a 5-0 victory over Al Arabi of Qatar. Abdullah al Kindi and Mohammed Salim were also on target while Arabi's Ezzat Jaddo scored an own goal.
