The first night of WWE's two-night stay in Abu Dhabi took place on Thursday night at Zayed Sports City Tennis Stadium in front of a large crowd.

Here is a rundown of what happened on the night.

Finn Balor defeated Bray Wyatt

Fun opener, with both men getting good reactions from the crowd. After some back and forth action, Balor reverses an attempt at Sister Abigail and shortly afterwards hits the Coup de Grace for the 1-2-3.

Enzo Amore beats Kalisto to retain the WWE Cruiserweight title

Big reaction for Enzo, who does his best to heel it up by insulting the crowd. Kalisto dominates much of the match, but Enzo, after earlier in the match raking the eyes of his opponent, gets the pinfall to retain.

Jason Jordan beats Elias

Elias does a great job of infuriating the crowd beforehand as he performs an insulting song on Abu Dhabi in the ring. Good match with lots of near falls. Jordan plays up his knee injury angle in the latter stages, but still gets the win as he rolls up Elias.

Braun Strowman beats Kane by disqualification

Kane had promised when he had visited The National's office on Thursday that this would be a case of seeing two big guys slug it out. And that is exactly what was delivered. Kane had Strowman struggling after throwing him into the ring steps. But Strowman fought back and the finish came when Kane hit his opponent on the leg with a chair. After the referee had disqualified Kane, Strowman had the last laugh as he put Kane through a table with a powerslam.

Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews won a triple threat tag match against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows and the Miztourage of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel

An energetic encounter after the interval. Axel and Dallas supplied the comic relief as Axel wore a neck brace throughout and begged to be spared off being hit whenever he was in the ring. Crews looked great in the match and he picks up the win for his team.

Alexis Bliss beats Sasha Banks to retain the WWE Raw Women's title

An historic moment as the first WWE women's match in the UAE takes place and both Superstars produce a terrific encounter to live up to the breakthrough moment. Banks came close to winning the title for a fifth time as she put Bliss in the Banks statement. But Bliss gets her foot on the rope, and retains the title soon after as she gets the pinfall on Banks.

The Shield beat Cesaro, Sheamus and Samoa Joe in a six-man tag match

Great main event with Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose almost mobbed by fans as they walk through the crowd on the way to the ring. All six men are super over with the fans and it proves a fun spectacle. Rollins plays the face in peril for much of proceedings, and the pop for Reigns making the hot tag is huge. Cesaro takes the triple powerbomb off the trio, with Reigns pinning him to clinch victory to send the fans home happy.

But....

There is a late surprise as Triple H comes out post-match for a staredown with Reigns to hype up their Intercontinental title match on Friday in Abu Dhabi.
