The inaugural Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon took place on Friday morning as professional runners and amateurs alike took to the streets of the UAE capital.
One of many amateur runners was Jason Von Berg, The National's Head of Audience, the who captured the 42km race on a Go Pro.
It was Von Berg's fourth marathon. On the final leg of the race along Abu Dhabi's Corniche he said: "I can see Adnoc's Headquarters. I'm dying, my legs are sore, but you know what, I'm in the game. I'm almost there."
On finishing he said: "It was hard. I'm a bit emotional as well, but I did it. It was a really good Adnoc Abu Dhabi Marathon, so well done the organisers."
The men's elite race was won by Kenya's Marius Kipserem, with Ababel Yashaneh of Ethiopia victorious in the women's race.
