WATCH: Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder brawl at Los Angeles press conference
Undefeated heavyweights clash for a second time this week to promote their December 1 fight
Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder had to be separated for the second time this week after the undefeated heavyweights kicked off at a news conference in Los Angeles to promote their December 1 fight.
Two days after their London press conference was broken up after they traded shoves, the two scuffled again and were separated by their teams at LA Live's Novo Club - just a stone's throw from the Staples Center where they'll battle for Wilder's WBC heavyweight world title on December 1.
It was a third news conference in three days for Fury and Wilder, but with the enmity building fight fans might not have to wait that long!
Wilder (40-0) and Fury (27-0) are both unbeaten and the winner of their bout will be in prime position to take on WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champion Anthony Joshua.
Fury was unstinting with his insults Wednesday, urging Wilder to clean his teeth as he animatedly walked the stage.
"Your breath stinks!" he said. "Brush your teeth, mate, brush your teeth."
Verbal jabs from both were lost as they shouted over one another, standing nose to nose.
When the shoving started the two were pulled apart.
It all made for good theatre, although Wilder acknowledged it may have gone too far.
"Who on stage is going to be able to hold two big fighters back?" he said. "If I want to, I'm going to get you. But then you jeopardise the fight, and I don't want that."
