UAEJJF expand jiu-jitsu reach after signing deal with digital streaming service
FloSports will offer subscribers to the FloGrappling channel the chance to watch jiu-jitsu tournaments organised in the UAE
Jiu-jitsu fans can now watch live tournaments and stay on top of the latest updates of the martial arts sport after a partnership deal signed between the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and FloSports.
FloSports – a provider of live digital sports and original content – will offer fans who subscribe to the FloGrappling channel the chance to watch jiu-jitsu tournaments organised by UAEJJF in the Emirates.
The UAEJJF will also be airing all jiu-jitsu league matches free on its website and the UAEJJF YouTube channel as part of its efforts to expand the sport's reach.
Mohammed Al Marzooqi, the UAEJJF’s director of marketing and finance, said the partnership was in line with the federation’s efforts to spread the sport's culture and values in the UAE and across the world.
“Fans will have year-round access to webcast content and live coverage,” he said.
“We are seeking to extend the jiu-jitsu family and inspire the next generation of jiu-jitsu athletes to learn the rules and the art of the sport via watching the brightest talent participating in the streamed tournaments.
“We are committed to applying best practices at all levels, including the use of technology in sport. This will enable the audience to enhance their knowledge of the values of jiu-jitsu and impact positively the wider community at large.”
The partnership with FloSports will provide full live and on-demand coverage of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2020, and offer fans the chance to catch the action live from other international championships in the lead-up to the event Al Ain, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah.
Viewers will be able to watch all the action on any device, by downloading the FloSports app on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, or App Store.
