Ronda Rousey to take on Nikki Bella at WWE Evolution for Raw Women's title
The former UFC fighter will go up against Bella at the WWE's first network special on October 28 to be made up solely of women's matches
Ronda Rousey is to defend her WWE Raw Women's Championship against Nikki Bella at WWE Evolution on October 28 in New York.
The former UFC fighter was attacked post-match on Monday Night Raw by Bella and her sister Brie after they had won had won a six-woman tag match against the Riott Squad.
The trio had also worked together to win against the same opponents at Super Show-Down in Melbourne on Saturday.
Following the attack by the two sisters it was later confirmed that Rousey will put her title on the line against Bella, a two-time WWE Women's champion, at Evolution in three weeks time.
WWE Evolution will be the first WWE event to be held that will be made up purely of women's matches.
It was also confirmed on Raw that former world champions Trish Stratus and Lita will now take on Alexa Bliss and Mickie James in a tag match, rather than the two singles matches that were were originally scheduled.
Also confirmed for the card at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale is an NXT Women's title match as Kari Sane puts her belt on the line against Shayna Baszler.
SmackDown Women's champion Becky Lynch will likely face Charlotte Flair in a rematch after their encounter in Melbourne ended in a disqualification.
