Manny Pacquiao exacted some revenge for defeat the previous night by leading his side on a Saturday to victory against Dubai All-Stars DJMC in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League exhibition match.
The boxing star’s Team Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Executives triumphed 107-101 at Hamdan Sports Complex, with Pacquiao firing a game-high 42 points.
“It’s been a great weekend for us,” Pacquiao said. “I really enjoyed competing against my Kababayans here in the UAE. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us.”
Dunstan Rozario, chairman of main organisers DJMC Events, said. “It’s an honour to have Senator Manny back here in Dubai. And we look forward to future collaborations with him. Expect a bigger and better show next year.”
