Bill Goldberg is to have a match at WWE SummerSlam for the first time in 16 years on Sunday.

The two-time WWE world champion made a surprise appearance at Raw on Monday to sign a contract to face Dolph Ziggler at the show at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

Goldberg last competed for WWE in June when he lost to The Undertaker at WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

Ziggler had recently bad mouthed Goldberg during a TV feud with The Miz and Shawn Michaels, leading to the match being set up.

Goldberg's last match at SummerSlam was in 2003 when he was part of the main event that was an Elimination Chamber in which he made it to the last two before losing to champion Triple H. Randy Orton, Michaels, Chris Jericho and Kevin Nash were the other men involved in that match.

Sunday's event is live on the WWE Network and starts in the UAE from 2am on Monday.
