Eddie Hearn, arguably the most influential promoter in boxing, has announced plans to stage professional fights at his company headquarters in the United Kingdom.

Set on a sprawling estate in Essex, just outside London, Matchroom Boxing HQ looks set to host fight nights on four consecutive weekends throughout July and August.

The series will be called Matchroom Fight Camp and Hearn has teased what the set up could look like after posting a video taken from a drone.

Stringent measures will be in place, with all fighters and staff tested for the coronavirus, social distancing protocols, and a mandatory five-day quarantine in a local hotel leading up to fight night. There will be no fans or media in attendance.

Given the additional staff and requirements needed to host world title fights, the British Boxing Board of Control has insisted boxing can only first resume with non-title fights.

So, while we won’t be seeing Anthony Joshua or Canelo Alvarez climb through the ropes, there are still plenty of matchups we would love to see take place at Matchroom Fight Camp.

In the photo gallery above are five fights that have a decent chance of being held during Matchroom Fight Camp. To move on to the next image, swipe on your mobile device, or click the arrows if using a computer.
