Becky Lynch made history on Sunday at WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey at the MetLife Stadium.

She was part of the first women's match-up to main event WWE's biggest show of the year as she went up against Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match.

Not only that but by winning it by pinfall over Rousey she became the first woman to hold both the Raw and SmackDown Women's titles at the same time.

Now the face of the women's division, the Irishwoman sat down with The National to discuss main eventing WrestleMania, being a role model and her enthusiasm on defending her titles in the UAE.

What is next for Becky Lynch

"Stay on the top of the division. Now's going to be the hardest part because not only do I have one target on my back, I have two targets on my back. So everybody wants a piece of me, everybody's going to want to be knocking me down.

"Plus, on Sunday I just showed what was possible. I showed the entire women's division that anything's possible. That you can go from the bottom of the card to the top of the card in a year. So everybody's going to be champing at the bit, but they'll find out it's not as easy as it looks."

Feelings on Ronda Rousey

"Oh yeah, slap the head off her and chase her out of the company. It was great. It was great. She talked about how my face was so easily breakable and then broke her hand on my face."

On the women main eventing a WrestleMania for the first time

"It's incredible. I've been dreaming about this since I was 15 years old and here we are. It's still even very hard for me to comprehend the magnitude of it, but I've been working towards that obsessively for years."

On being worried they might lose the main event slot to Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston

"I was worried about it slipping away. Just because the build to the match had been so long that I was worried with Kofi heating up as much as he did, and them referring to several of the matches as the main event. Then I was like, 'Oh, but are we the main event? But maybe they ... I mean, they really should, but maybe they won't.' Because you never know in this place, which is a great thing but also a bad thing and a terrifying thing, especially when you're trying to achieve all of your dreams."

Advice to people wanting to follow in her footsteps

"Women or anybody that's inspired to get into wrestling, that I would just say work as hard as you possibly can. If you really want to do this obsessively then believe in yourself more than other people believe in you because that's going to be the difference maker."

On seeing children wearing The Man T-shirts

"It's amazing. It's amazing because the message of that is that it doesn't matter who you are or what you are. It's about being the top dog of whatever it is that you want to do."

On her outfit at WrestleMania

"Usually we'll bring a pattern to them and we'll say, 'This is what I want.' For me, I think with The Man it's just about simplicity. It's about stripping everything back and letting the personality and the in-ring work speak for itself. It's not about putting on layers. It's about pulling them back."

On appearing on NXT UK

Both Finn Balor and Flair appeared on NXT UK TakeOver in Blackpool in January. Of appearing on the British brand, she said: "I would love to. I would love to. Before they didn't invite me over. Maybe they will now that I got two belts. Becky two belts."

On hoping to compete in Abu Dhabi

Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss made history in December 2017 when they became the first WWE women to compete in a match in the UAE. Lynch is keen to follow suit. "Absolutely," she said. "I'll bring my two belts. I'll walk in with my two belts, I'll walk out with my two belts. We'll all have a great time."
