Washington sent 12 men to the plate in a seven-run third inning which was capped by Kurt Suzuki's three-run double.
Although the hosts got off the mark in the seventh, there was no coming back as they were already trailing 14-0 at that stage.
The result means Washington has won 13 of its past 14 road games, and now has the best road winning percentage in the majors.
"The boys are in a good mood," Nationals manager Davey Johnson said.
"Just like the skipper. It was fun to watch the offence. We beat up on a pretty good pitcher."
