The Marseille coach Eric Gerets admits Lyon's lead at the top of Ligue 1 is already looking dangerous - after just six matches.
Lyon's lead has Gerets worried after
Lyon stretched their advantage at the top to four points at the weekend thanks to a penalty from Ederson at Le Havre and Marseille's goalless draw at home to Monaco. Gerets fears the reigning champions are already pulling away from the chasing pack. "Four points behind Lyon, that is starting to look a lot," said the Belgian, whose side remain second, one point clear of Toulouse.
"It is a difference of at least two matches already. People sometimes say they do not play so well but they still manage to put the ball in the back of the net." Marseille struggled against Monaco and the visitors deserved their point. Monaco are ninth in the table, just three points behind Marseille, and having lost just once this season. * PA Sport
