Leonardo was named as AC Milan's new coach yesterday, almost immediately after Carlo Ancelotti revealed that his contract had been terminated by mutual consent. Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani told Rai television: "It will be Leonardo. Tomorrow he will be presented at 12." The former Brazil and Milan player has been working as sporting director at the club. Ancelotti told Sky television that he was leaving after Milan's 2-0 win at Fiorentina - which secured automatic Champions League football - but would not confirm that he was joining Chelsea, as speculated, saying: "I have not made any agreement with any other club." Elsewhere, Torino were relegated from Serie A after losing 3-2 at Roma. sports@thenational.ae
