"They played better cricket on this wicket. Rough season for us, but need to move on."
Captain Aaron Finch and Luke Wright were the Pune heroes in their total of 172 for five.
Finch had chosen to bat after winning the toss and he backed up his decision with three boundaries and four sixes in a quick-fire 52 off 34 balls.
Once he had been dismissed Wright, who was the man of the match, kept the momentum up, hitting seven fours and a six in his 44 off 23 deliveries.

Muralidharen Gautam brought some respectability to the innings as he struck 30, which included one six, but when he became one of the three wickets taken by Angelo Mathews (three for 14) the game was effectively up.
It was only Pune's fourth success of the season and Finch said: " I'm very happy with the way it ended. Disappointed we haven't been able to do it more often."
