A much-decorated star in Qatari and Saudi Arabia leagues, Al Hosni helped his Jeddah-based Al Ahli club reach the final of the AFC Champions League in November. His form will be crucial to Oman's success.

Prediction Semi-finalist at last month's West Asian Championships, Oman could match that in Bahrain.

 

Qatar

Key Player Khalfan Ibrahim

The 2006 Asian Player of the Year, Khalfan is one of the most influential players in the Qatari team and, after his experience of playing alongside Raul at Al Sadd, he will definitely be one of the players to watch.

Prediction Hampered by injuries, Qatar could struggle to make it past the group stages.
