Dubai Desert Classic-bound Pat Perez cruises to CIMB Classic title in Malaysia
American, who will make his Emirates Golf Club debut next year, was in total control at TPC Kuala Lumpur to claim his second PGA Tour title.
Pat Perez claimed his second PGA Tour title at the CIMB Classic in Malaysia on Sunday, cruising to a four-shot victory over fellow American Keegan Bradley.
Perez, 41, teed off with a four-shot lead at the TPC Kuala Lumpur and a three-under par 69 proved enough to close out his third professional win at the $7 million (Dh25.7m) co-sanctioned event.
Perez, who won the OHL Classic in Mexico last November, finished with a 24-under total of 264, four ahead of runner-up Bradley.
The late-blooming Perez rolled in four birdies in the front nine, and with none of his nearest challenges making a charge, he coasted to victory with 10 straight pars.
Perez's victory comes two weeks after he was confirmed to make his debut at the 2018 Omega Dubai Desert Classic in January.
Hosted at Emirates Golf Club from January 25-28, the Dubai Desert Classic will see Perez contest just his fourth European Tour event.
The American will be joined at the Majlis course by defending champion Sergio Garcia, who followed his triumph in Dubai last year by ending his wait for a major at the US Masters.
