"A scan this morning has confirmed a tear in the adductor magnus muscle in his right leg and he is expected to be out between seven to 10 days," the club's website said. England are already without the Manchester United duo of Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand, Joe and Ashley Cole of Chelsea and the Wigan Athletic striker Emile Heskey.
