New York City FC (NYCFC) completed their first pre-season training camp in Abu Dhabi this week as the Major League Soccer (MLS) club prepare for the new campaign.
As well as training for the new MLS season, NYCFC used their time in the UAE capital to explore the city, meet fans, and host a training session for young players at City Football Schools.
“We have hugely enjoyed both the training camp and the opportunity to all visit Abu Dhabi together for the first time," NYCFC manager Domènec Torrent said.
“This is a great way of bringing the squad of players closer together as we prepare for the new season and look to make a strong start.
“I want to thank everyone in Abu Dhabi for being so welcoming and we look forward to returning in the near future.”
NYCFC played two friendlies during their time in Abu Dhabi, going down 2-0 to Danish champion FC Copenhagen before playing out a 1-1 draw with Swedish league winners AIK.
