The confusion around Wembley following Manchester City's crushing 6-0 victory against Watford in the FA Cup final on Saturday seems to have been cleared.
It centred around City's second goal, initially deemed to have been scored by Raheem Sterling, although there was lack of clarity on whether it should have been awarded to Gabriel Jesus instead.
Jesus shot past Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes on 38 minutes before Sterling hammered the ball into the back of the net. It was not clear whether or not the ball had crossed the goal-line before Sterling's intervention. The replays were not helpful at the time either.
But the English FA announced the goal indeed belonged to Jesus, and not Sterling. This meant Sterling did not score the first hat-trick in an FA Cup final since 1953.
