Goalkeeper: Ben Foster (Watford) – Made a couple of excellent saves to prevent Crystal Palace from taking the lead as Watford made it three straight wins in a superb start. Reuters
Right-back: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal) – Goes so far forward under Unai Emery that he set up two goals to secure his fellow Spaniard’s first win with his new club. Reuters
Centre-back: Harry Maguire (Leicester) – His first goal since the World Cup was a dramatic winner at Southampton to make Leicester’s a fine start to the season. Reuters
Centre-back: Willy Boly (Wolves) – Yes, his opener against Manchester City could have been disallowed but the Frenchman was also a colossus at the back against the champions. Getty Images
Left-back: Marcos Alonso (Chelsea) – For the second consecutive week, the Spaniard played a pivotal part in two goals, including the winner, to again illustrate his importance. Reuters
Right midfield: James Milner (Liverpool) – The stand-in skipper won the ball to set up Mohamed Salah’s winner against Brighton as part of another all-action display. Reuters
Centre midfield: Joao Moutinho (Wolves) – Reinforced the idea he may be one of the bargains of the season with some fine passing in the draw with Manchester City. AP Photo
Centre midfield: Jean-Michael Seri (Fulham) – Got a spectacular opener from long range as Fulham recorded their first Premier League win since 2014 by beating Burnley. Reuters
Left midfielder: Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – Scored a nerveless penalty at Newcastle. Still more impressive was the way he kept running at defenders who kept fouling him. AP Photo
Striker: Theo Walcott (Everton) – The winger’s blistering pace brought Everton’s opener at Bournemouth and led to Cherries defender Adam Smith’s red card. Reuters
Striker: Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham) – A brace took the Serb’s tally to three goals in two games and demonstrated why Fulham paid Newcastle £22 million for him.
Marcos Alonso and Eden Hazard are the two Chelsea players to have made it to Richard Jolly's Premier League team of the week.
Alonso played his part both goals during
their 2-1 away win against Newcastle United, while Hazard scored one of them.
Meanwhile, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers also have two players each represented in this line-up.
Aleksandar Mitrovic and Jean-Michael Seri made the cut for their contributions to the 4-2 win against Burnley, while Wolves centre-back Willy Boly and midfielder Joao Moutinho were picked based on their performance in the 1-1 draw against reigning champions Manchester City.
