Paul Pogba can rarely stay out of the spotlight.

Even when he is trusted to speak in front of the cameras and is towing the line as the club expects, he still manages to produce a moment that will stay long in the memory.

The French World Cup winner joined up with the Manchester United squad in Dubai a couple of days later than his teammates as he was receiving treatment for an injury.

But a spell in the Dubai sun appears to have helped him regain his fitness, and judging by the video of his interview (above), he hasn't lost his magic touch as he manages to cushion a long ball on his heel while sat down facing the camera.

Pogba had been banned from talking to the media by previous manager Jose Mourinho after sailing a little too close to the truth in his observations of United's struggles this season.

But with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now at the helm and five wins from five matches in the bag, Pogba, who has been on top form in recent weeks, spoke about the Dubai trip.

"It’s not a holiday, we came here to work," he said. “We don’t get this kind of weather a lot in Manchester, so obviously to get this weather and vitamin D is always good. It’s good for the head.

"The training is intense as we’re preparing for a big game [against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday], so we need to be ready. We've had good conditions to do some hard work and when we go back we’ve got a fresh mind and fresh air and we come back to focus even more."

He was back on cryptic form, however, on his own social media account, posting this image on Instagram with the caption: "Your perspective can always change, just try."

Pogba was linked with a move away from Old Trafford throughout the summer, and speculation intensified towards the end of Mourinho's reign as he was left on the substitutes bench after a several public fallouts.

He aggravated the club on the day Mourinho departed by posting a smug image with the words "caption this". It was claimed the post was a badly timed piece of marketing by Adidas.

Now back in the side, winning matches and scoring goals, Pogba's United future looks far brighter than it did two months ago.

The squad has been in Dubai since Saturday evening, working on fitness at the Nad Al Sheba complex. They are due to fly home Thursday.

The players have been given some time to see the local sights, with Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial visiting Salt Bae's restaurant, while Andreas Pereira took a dip in the pool via the diving board.

Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford earlier visited Dubai Mall, and yesterday took a stroll along the beach, which Lingard videoed.
