Mohamed Salah's daughter cheers up Liverpool crowd after Manchester City pip them to title
Liverpool may have missed out on the Premier League title but there was still plenty to cheer about
Mohamed Salah carried off the Premier League Golden Boot as the division's top scorer after Liverpool's final match of the season - and his daughter then showed she has inherited his instinct in front of goal.
Amid the disappointment of Liverpool missing out on the title to Manchester City, there was a moment of pure joy at Anfield on Sunday evening, as Salah's daughter, Makka, brought cheers from the crowd in a moment which will live long in the memory.
After the players had left the pitch, she collected a ball and started dribbling towards the goal in front of the famous Kop end.
She showed deft ball control and balance - attributes her father has in abundance - before finding the back of the net to bring celebrations from the Anfield crowd.
She then proceeded to dribble the ball all the way back to the halfway line where she was greeted by her mother.
Salah spent some time out on the pitch with his family following the climax of the Premier League season.
He, along with teammate Sadio Mane, collected his trophy for being the league's top scorer with 22 goals - the second successive season he has won it.
The Egyptian is just the sixth player to win it in successive years, after Alan Shearer, Michael Owen, Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Harry Kane.
The Liverpool pair edged out Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, who scored 21. Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also took a Golden Boot home after his double in the 3-1 win over Burnley took him to 22 for the season.
Salah failed the reach the heights of last season when he scored 32 league goals and broke many records, but he has still enjoyed a superb season and has the opportunity of a Champions League winners medal when Liverpool face Tottenham in the final on June 1.
His side fell just short in the Premier League, as City pipped them by one point in an enthralling end to the campaign as they ran out 4-1 winners at Brighton and Hove Albion.
