Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba posts pictures of pilgrimage to Makkah
Frenchman posts Instagram message 'Never forget the important things in life' on visit to Grand Mosque during Ramadan
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has posted pictures of himself in Makkah to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan.
In an Instagram post that has been liked by more than 1.3 million times, Pogba posted pictures of himself and friends, including fellow Premier League player Kurt Zouma, standing in front of the Kaaba at the Grand Mosque, the holiest site of Islam, with the message: "Never forget the important things in life."
Pogba, 26, also took pilgrimage to Makkah last summer ahead of France's victorious World Cup campaign in Russia.
The Frenchman jetted into Saudi Arabia following his club commitments with Manchester United with the conclusion of the 2018/19 Premier League season last Sunday.
United suffered an embarrassing 2-0 home defeat to relegated Cardiff City in their final match to finish sixth in the league table to miss out on Champions League football next season.
Instead United will compete in the second tier Europa League, a tournament Pogba helped United win in 2017.
