Manchester City posted a convincing 3-0 win over Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in an International Champions Cup friendly in Nashville, Tennessee.
John Stones, Raheem Sterling and Brahim Diaz scored for Manchester City, who were coming off a 4-1 win over Spain and European champions Real Madrid in the exhibition tournament in North America.
Jones opened the scoring at Nissan Stadium, home of the NFL's Tennessee Titans, with a glancing header in the 10th minute.
Good reception for City
City had plenty of chances to increase their lead before Sterling made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute, and Diaz came off the bench to complete the scoring in injury time.
Tottenham had the first real chance in the third minute, but Dele Alli's attempt was smothered by goalkeeper Ederson.
From there Manchester City inexorably took control.
They were rewarded in the 10th, when Kevin de Bruyne's free kick from the right found Stones, who stooped to head the ball past Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris.

Spurs had a chance to equalise late in the first half when Harry Kane appeared to have a clean look at goal against a hard-charging Ederson, but he fired over the crossbar.
Meanwhile, Manchester City kept the pressure on Lloris.
Gabriel Jesus missed a chance to double the score on the stroke of half time, somehow firing wide from short range after a charging De Bruyne delivered a pinpoint pass to him in front of the goal.
Stones happy with tour
Sergio Aguero came on for Manchester City in the 60th and proved dangerous, forcing Tottenham keeper Michel Vorm into a save before twice hitting the woodwork.
Pep Guardiola's men finally got their second goal when Samir Nasri split the flagging Spurs defence and Sterling finished.
Other pre-season result: Barca edge Real Madrid
Spurs threatened late, but Christian Eriksen was denied by substitute keeper Ariganet Muric and City had the last word in injury time as Diaz finished from short range after a goalmouth scramble.
City play their last pre-season friendly against West Ham United in Reykjavik next week while Tottenham take on Juventus at Wembley Stadium on August 5.
Alves wins it for PSG
New Brazilian recruit Dani Alves powered Paris Saint-Germain to their first title of the season beating Monaco 2-1 in the Champions Trophy final on Saturday.
It was a fifth straight trophy for the Parisians in the traditional curtain-raiser to the French season to put them level with Lyon's record of seven titles.
The match was touted as a revenge mission for both sides with PSG losing their Ligue 1 title to Monaco, with the Principality side crushed 4-1 by the Parisians in the League Cup final.
Against a backdrop of intense transfer speculation linking Brazilian superstar Neymar from Barcelona to PSG and Monaco's French teen striker Kylian Mbappe to a world record move to Real Madrid, the match was played on front of a capacity 45,000 crowd in Tangiers.
Every move of 18-year-old Mbappe drove the Monaco game forward to the excitement of the crowd with the loudspeaker even attributing Djibril Sidibe's 30 minute opener to the teenager.
But it was Alves who stole the show as he equalised with a free kick after 51 minutes and then set up a decisive pass for Adrien Rabiot's 63rd-minute winner.
Alves was unveiled as the club's second signing of the close season after joining PSG in a two-year deal on a free transfer following his exit from Juventus.
Mbappé may still be a Monaco player but the departure of players such as Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Benjamin Mendy and Valere Germain has weakened the side.
"Theoretically we're more fragile but I believe the youth that is coming into the club now will help us," manager Leonardo Jardim said.
And it was Youri Tielemans, who joined from Anderlect in May, who set up Sidibe's opener, and new left-wing Terence Kongolo did good defensive work faced with the tandem of Thomas Meunier and Dani Alves, before being overpowered by the PSG pair.
The sides will next meet in Ligue 1 in Monaco's Louis-II stadium on November 26.
The French season kicks off next weekend with Monaco hosting Toulouse on Friday and PSG at home against Amiens.
Liverpool beat Hertha
Record signing Mo Salah scored and Sadio Mane made his first appearance since April as Liverpool cruised to 3-0 friendly win over Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion.
Dominic Solanke opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Mane, back after knee surgery, set up Georginio Wijnaldum for Liverpool's second just past the half-hour mark.
Salah continued Liverpool's impressive pre-season form when he completed the scoring in the 60th minute, finishing off a lofted pass from Philippe Coutinho.
