Luka Jovic undergoes Real Madrid medical ahead of €60m move from Eintracht Frankfurt
Jovic is set to follow central defender Eder Militao and fellow Brazilian Rodrygo through the doors at the Bernabeu
Luka Jovic took a step closer to completing his move to Real Madrid after the club released a picture of the Serbian striker undergoing a medical.
The picture of Jovic at La Moraleja University Hospital came a day after Madrid released a short statement confirming that the 21-year-old would be presented to the media at 1pm local time (3pm UAE) at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.
No official fee has been released for the price of Jovic's transfer to Madrid from German side Eintracht Frankfurt, but media reports have claimed it to be in the region of €60 million (Dh250m).
Jovic joins Madrid after a superb season with Frankfurt in which he scored 27 goals in 48 appearances in all competitions - 17 in the Bundesliga, with 10 coming in the Europa League where he fired his team to the semi-finals.
The signing of Jovic represents part of an expected overhaul at Real Madrid, who are looking to bounce back from a disappointing season that saw the Spanish giants surrender their Uefa Champions League title in the first knockout stage, before finishing well behind Barcelona in the Primera Liga standings.
Jovic is set to follow central defender Eder Militao - signed for around €50m from Porto - and Brazilian 18-year-old winger Rodrygo, who was recruited for €45m from Santos.
Madrid's biggest signing of the summer is set to be completed imminently when Belgian forward Eden Hazard completes a €100m move from Chelsea.
