Liverpool beat Man City to go top as pressure eases on Mourinho with Newcastle win: Premier League predictions
Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Arsenal among the other big winners this weekend
Brighton & Hove Albion 1 West Ham United 2. Why? Brighton looked great in beating Manchester United in August, but have not won any of their next five games. West Ham have looked great in recent weeks and Marko Arnautovic, pictured, has impressed of late and will again be the London side's danger man as they seek a third win in four games. Reuters
Burnley 2 Huddersfield Town 0. Why? Burnley are another side who have put a slow start behind them to flourish and with Sam Vokes, pictured, and Ashley Barnes back among the goals they should be too good for struggling Huddersfield. Getty Images
Crystal Palace 0 Wolverhampton Wanderers 1. Why? Wolves have lived up to their pre-season hype and have excelled on their return to the Premier League. Ruben Neves, pictured right, is among the players pulling the strings for Wolves as they can win again here. Getty Images
Leicester City 1 Everton 3. Why? Leicester either win or lose. There is little middle ground for Claude Puel's men. Everton have been unconvincing at times but in Theo Walcott, pictured left, Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson they have enough match winners to pick up the points on their travels. EPA
Tottenham Hotspur 4 Cardiff City 0. Why? Tottenham had a tough time against Barcelona on Wednesday. Playing winless Cardiff should be a good chance to rebound quickly and Harry Kane, pictured, will expect to continue his scoring ways. Reuters
Watford 1 Bournemouth 1. Why? Both sides have had good starts to the season. All three past games at Vicarage Road in the Premier League between the two sides have ended in a stalemate and this could too, despite the best efforts of the in-form Troy Deeney, pictured. Manchester United 2 Newcastle United 0. Why? Both sides need, for different reasons, a win desperately. Jose Mourinho's men will edge it out though to give the Portuguese some respite. AFP
Fulham 2 Arsenal 4. Why? Arsenal have not been completely convincing in winning their past five games and there are issues in defence. But in Alexandre Lacazette, pictured, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang they have the goals to get themselves out of trouble. Getty Images
Southampton 1 Chelsea 3. Why? Eden Hazard remains key to Chelsea's hopes and four goals in two games is driving their league hopes. He can shine again here to give the London side another win. Action Images via Reuters
Liverpool 2 Manchester City 1. Why? This will be a big test of Liverpool's resolve after defeat to Napoli in midweek. But they know how to beat City at Anfield and there are signs Mohamed Salah is finding his form, even if he is not there yet, and this could well be a big win for Jurgen Klopp's men. Getty Images
After another short burst the Premier League prepares for another hiatus after this weekend's eighth round of fixtures.
The headline match is the top-of-the-table clash between Manchester City and Liverpool.
Both sides are unbeaten and are level at the top on 19 points, with City ahead on goal difference.
That kicks off at 7.30pm on Sunday UAE time.
Also on Sunday you have Chelsea in action at Southampton at 5.15pm and Fulham v Arsenal at 3pm.
Jose Mourinho's Manchester United will look to put a tough week behind them when they face struggling Newcastle United at 8.30pm on Saturday, with five other games kicking off at 6pm that day.
There is also a Friday match this week, with in-form West Ham United visiting Brighton & Hove Albion for a game that starts at 11pm.
