Never one to stray too far from the spotlight, Zlatan Ibrahimovic decided once more to let his football do the talking.

The giant Swede, the star attraction Stateside in Major League Soccer, struck a hat-trick for LA Galaxy in the early hours of Monday morning UAE time, adding the gloss to his side's 7-2 rout of Sporting Kansas City.

In doing so, Ibrahimovic took his tally for the campaign to 26 goals, eclipsing the previous club record for goals in a single season. In his past 11 matches, the self-assured striker has found the net 15 times, his latest headline act coming little more than two weeks before his 38th birthday.

“The Lion”, as he likes to refer to himself, once more proving king of that particular jungle.
