Treble-winning manager Jupp Heynckes is set to take over at Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich for a fourth time, succeeding sacked Carlo Ancelotti, according to German media reports on Thursday.
Heynckes, 72, led Bayern to the Bundesliga-German Cup double and the Uefa Champions League title in 2013 before making way for Spaniard Pep Guardiola.
According to Bild newspaper Heynckes, who also led Real Madrid to the Champions League title and managed Benfica, Athletic Bilbao and a string of Bundesliga clubs, will take over until the end of the season.

Italian Ancelotti took over last season but was sacked last week following Bayern's 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Heynckes, who has not worked since 2013, also managed Bayern from 1987-91 and briefly took over at the end of the 2008/9 season before becoming manager between 2011-13.
On Wednesday, Bayern president Uli Hoeness revealed a permanent successor to Ancelotti had been chosen, and that he got the seal of approval from former manager Guardiola.
"It was a meeting between friends, but of course we have also spoken about professional matters," Hoeness told German media outlet Abendzeitung. "I told him who we were going to recruit [as the new Bayern manager] in the next few days and he was satisfied."
Former Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel, Hoffenheim's Julian Nagelsmann, and former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique have all been linked with the vacancy.
