Most sportsmen reach a milestone, celebrate it and then move on. Not Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The LA Galaxy star scored his 500th career goal at the weekend against Toronto FC in the MLS and followed it up by labelling himself "God of Goals".

Now,a few days later, the achievement still won't rest. He has posted a fantastically artistic video to his Twitter account featuring some of the memorable moments during his career which has taken in spells at Malmo, Ajax, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and LA Galaxy, plus international duty for Sweden.

He joined Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the only active players to have reached 500 goals for club and country, and said after the match that he was "happy for Toronto because they will be remembered as my 500th victim".

The banter has continued on social media with former PSG teammate David Beckham telling Ibrahimovic that reaching 500 goals makes him "really, really old".

Ibrahimovic responded by thanking him and agreed that he is indeed old and "will work on my shy side, I definitely need to improve on that".

There was nothing reserved about the goal which brought him to 500 - a spectacular volley of the kind few players are capable of.
