Georginio Wijnaldum was back in Dubai this week as the Liverpool midfielder packed in the final few days of his summer vacation before reporting for pre-season training.

The Netherlands international posted pictures on social media of himself relaxing at an undisclosed location in the emirate with the captions "One more holiday stop ... Dubai" and "Always be yourself".

Wijnaldum was part of the Liverpool squad that last season won the Uefa Champions League after beating rival English club Tottenham Hotspur in the final and finished second in the Premier League to Manchester City.

It is Wijnaldum's second trip to Dubai in as many months. Just two weeks before the Champions League final in Madrid on June 1 the former Newcastle United midfielder posted a picture of himself on social media wearing the traditional kandura with a line saying: "Good times in #Dubai."

He also visited prominent Emirati businessman Saif Belhasa's farm.

Liverpool begin their pre-season preparations with a friendly match against Tranmere Rovers on Thursday.

Jurgen Klopp's side open their Premier League campaign on August 9 against newly-promoted Norwich City at Anfield.
