Frank Lampard and Chelsea get winning start at Man United as Liverpool and Everton win big: Premier League predictions
A look ahead at the opening weekend of the new season in England's top flight
After 89 days away the Premier League is back.
The action begins on Friday night as last season's runners-up Liverpool face newly promoted Norwich City at Anfield, with the game beginning at 11pm UAE time.
Champions Manchester City begin their title defence on Saturday at 3.30pm at West Ham United, before there are four 6pm matches.
Then at 8.30pm Tottenham Hotspur play host to Aston Villa to complete Saturday's action.
Both Leicester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United v Arsenal take place on Sunday at 5pm.
Arguably the biggest game of the weekend is saved to last as Frank Lampard takes charge of his first game as Chelsea manager as the London club travel to Manchester United for a match that starts at 7.30pm UAE time.
Ahead of the matches sports editor Graham Caygill has made his predictions and explained his reasoning for his scoreline forecasts in the photo gallery above.
