Football says goodbye to Andrea Pirlo with Milan testimonial - in pictures

Alessandro Del Piero, Frank Lampard, Francesco Totti, Filippo Inzaghi and Christian Vieri among those to feature in testimonial match in Milan to celebrate end of the Italian midfielder's career

Footballing greats converged on Milan on Monday night to help Italian Andrea Pirlo celebrate the end of his career.

The Italian World Cup winner has hung up his boots after completing the MLS season with New York City.

The midfielder, who played for both AC Milan and Inter Milan during his career, had a testimonial in his honour played at the San Siro Stadium.

A match featuring teams playing in blue and white, the colours of the Italian national side, played out a 7-7 draw.

Alessandro Del Piero, Frank Lampard, Cafu, Alexandre Pato, Dida, Rui Costa, Francesco Totti, Filippo Inzaghi and Christian Vieri were among the players to take part in the match.
