Cristiano Ronaldo on Saturday became the first player to win top-flight league titles in England, Spain and Italy after Juventus clinched a record-extending eighth successive Serie A crown with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

After the disappointment of Uefa Champions League elimination at the quarter-final stage to Ajax on Wednesday, Juve found themselves behind to a sixth minute goal from Serbian defender Nikola Milenkovic.

Alex Sandro levelled for Juventus in the 37th minute, before German Pezzella's own goal eight minutes after the break gave the defending champions the lead.

That proved to be the decisive goal of the game as Juventus saw out the victory to move into an unassailable 20-point lead over second-placed Napoli with five matches remaining.
