European champions aiming to win first piece of silverware since Ronaldo's departure to Juventus

Uefa Champions League winners Real Madrid will take on city rivals Atletico Madrid, the reigning Europa League champions, on Wednesday evening in the Uefa Super Cup.

Ahead of the match in the Estonian capital of Tallinn (kick-off 11pm UAE), Real Madrid trained inside the Lillekula Stadium as the Spanish giants aim to win their first piece of silverware since Cristiano Ronaldo's departure to Italian champions Juventus.

Among those taking part in training were Welsh forward Gareth Bale, who new manager Julen Lopetegui recently said would help "fill the void" left by Madrid's all-time record goalscorer Ronaldo.

Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois also went through his paces as he looks to make his Madrid debut following his move from Premier League club Chelsea.
