Arsenal are heading to Dubai during the forthcoming Premier League winter break as they bid to get their season back on track.

Manager Mikel Arteta said the change of environment will benefit his squad, with them currently sat in the unfamiliar position of 10th in the table.

“As we prepare for several key fixtures, we are looking forward to a change of routine with some warm-weather training," Arteta told the club website.

"Dubai is a fantastic place and the football facilities there are first class. It will do us good to experience a change of environment before we enter a crucial part of the season.”

The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil are set to fly into the UAE with club sponsor Emirates, and will arrive on February 7 before heading back to London on February 11

After facing Burnley in the league on February 2, they have a two-week break until facing Newcastle at home on February 16 followed by a Europa League trip to Olympiakos on February 20.

Arsenal were last in the UAE in March when they took part in a friendly match against Al Nasr to mark the official opening of the refurbished Al Maktoum Stadium.

During that trip they were granted an audience with Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, who is also the long-standing president of Nasr, at his palace in Zabeel.

Dubai's Nad Al Sheba sports complex has been a regular host to Premier League clubs during the winter months, with Manchester United visiting on a number of occasions.

Arteta's side beat Bournemouth 2-1 in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup last night thanks to first-half goals from Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah.
