Al Ain celebrate Club World Cup semi-final win over River Plate

Arabian Gulf League champions beat South American side in penalty shootout to reach final

Al Ain reached the Club World Cup final after beating River Plate in a penalty shootout at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in the Garden City late on Tuesday night.

The reigning Arabian Gulf League champions saw off the Argentine side, recently crowned Copa Libertadores champions, after Khalid Essa repelled Enzo Perez and River's fifth penalty to send Al Ain into Saturday’s showpiece.
