Will there come a time when the inspiration for new football kit designs dries up and we are just left with plain kits?
If we are to face such a problem, there's certainly no sign of it yet. Just take a look at this year's 2019 Fifa Women's World Cup kits to see how the creativity is flowing at manufacturers such as Nike and Adidas.
And then there's old-school favourite Umbro, which has come up with a design that would grace any era.
They might not be to everyone's taste, but the important thing here is that they are mostly trying to keep the kits interesting rather than rolling out changes from previous years.

The World Cup is now under way in France, and runs through to July 7 with the final in Lyon.
