2018 World Cup: UAE referees arrive in Moscow for tournament
First contingent of UAE referees and assistants representing UAE at a World Cup
A team of UAE officials arrived in Moscow ahead of the 2018 World Cup, to be held in Russia from June 14-July 15.
The three-man delegation includes referee Mohamed Abdullah Hassan, first assistant Mohamed Ahmed Al Hammadi and second assistant Hassan Al Mahry.
Fifa has selected 36 referees and 63 assistant referees to run the World Cup. This is the first time a contingent of officials from the Emirates has been selected for the World Cup.
