Nikolay Zherdev and Scott Hartnell were also on target as the Flyers won the only regular-season rematch of last year’s Stanley Cup finals.
Jason Arnott also scored twice as the New Jersey Devils extended their winning streak to four with a 5-2 victory over the Florida Panthers.
But Matt Moulson’s brace was in a losing cause as the New York Islanders lost 5-3 at home to the Buffalo Sabres.
Elsewhere, Steven Stamkos scored his NHL-best 38th goal to help the Tampa Bay Lightning win their fourth straight game with a 7-1 thrashing of the Atlanta Thrashers.
