GELSENKIRCHEN, GERMANY // German media say Felix Magath, the coach, will leave Schalke at the end of the season to complete only half of his four-year contract.
Magath told Kicker magazine he has not been told anything and the club has not commented.
But the Westdeutsche Allgemeine newspaper and the DPA news agency say Schalke's board has decided to part ways with Magath at the end of the season.
The news comes only hours before Schalke's Champions League match against Valencia for a place in the quarter-finals. The two teams are level at 1-1 after the first leg of their last-16 match.
