Fabregas to miss clash with Hull
Arsenal will be without captain Cesc Fabregas for today's home game with Hull. The Spaniard suffered a minor hamstring strain during Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Burnley, in which he scored. Although a scan has shown the injury to be not as serious as first thought, he will not be risked. The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "If it is a tear it is a small one and the maximum would be 10 days [out]. So it is not long-term." Wenger added he was thinking over an offer from Burnley to take 17-year-old midfielder Jack Wilshere on loan. He added: "It is possible, with one condition, that he plays. Wilshere needs to play. Burnley are a good club who I respect. They play good football, but Jack must want to do it." Meanwhile, Hull boss Phil Brown is hoping to record a repeat of the 2-1 win they recorded at the Emirates Stadium. "The memories of the Arsenal win are all strong and positive. Arsenal were just beginning to get their rhythm and Geovanni upset that with a tremendous goal. "That was the bit of luck from 30-35 yards we needed. We might need that again but we have enough belief, enough togetherness and enough quality. If we perform to the levels of last season we might just ride our luck."
