Al Wasl 1-5 Al Jazira
Al Wasl Al Bloushi 76’
Al Jazira Fernandinho 03’, Oliveira 26’, 36’, 64’, 68’

Ricardo Oliveria hit four goals for Al Jazira as they kept their hopes of qualifying from Group B alive with a resounding triumph over Al Wasl.

The underfire Fernandinho had given Jazira the lead in the third minute, before his compatriot took centre stage with two goals in either half.

Essa Al Bloushi got a late consolation goal for Wasl.

Al Nasr 6 -1 Al Shaab
Al Nasr Correa 10’, 36’, Morimoto 14’, Mascara 54’, Abbas 60’, Ahmad 67’
Al Shaab Maatouk pen 42’

Two goals from Bruno Correa helped Al Nasr rout Al Shaab in their Group A encounter yesterday.

The Brazilian’s double and a strike from Takayuki Morimoto on his debut for the club had them three up inside of 36 minutes.

Hassan Maatoik pulled one back for Shaab with a penalty, but Giuseppe Mascara, Humaid Abbas and Younis Ahmad all were on target in the second half to pile on the misery.

Ajman 2-0 Al Ahli
Ajman: Fettouhi 12’, Sy 67’

Driss Fettouhi and Founeke Sy were both on the score sheet for Ajman as they boosted their hopes of making the knockout stages of the Etisalat Cup yesterday.

They will be guaranteed top spot in Group C of the competition if they can avoid defeat at the hands of Al Shabab in their final group game in March.

Ahli’s hopes of progress had long since ended and they were little competition to Ajman once Fettouhi had opened the scoring. Sy added a second after the break.
